Premier Digit is a persistent, palatable, warm season, tufted perennial grass that responds quickly to spring rainfall providing there is minimal frost damage present. Best sown in inland areas with lower rainfalls, Premier Digit has good tolerance to drought and frost with leaves remaining palatable when frosted.
Premier Digit does not respond well to heavy alkaline cracking clays and is suited to light-textured red loam soil types including low fertility sandy loam soils and fertile light clay/scrub soils.
